ASM Musculoskeletal Therapy & Massage is a private practice in Caldicot, Monmouthshire, Wales, run by owner-therapist Anthony (established 2017).
Anthony combines over 20 years of training, competing, studying and teaching in the sports field with hands-on therapy experience.
Pain, injury and body dysfunction affect not just athletes but everyday people dealing with acute/chronic pain, postural dysfunction and limited range of movement. Treatments at ASM combine a range of techniques to address the painful body part and the root cause, by assessing and treating posture, joint function and pain referral patterns, with a personalised treatment, prehabilitation or rehabilitation plan for each client.
Treatments offered include musculoskeletal therapy (sports and work-related injuries, sprains/strains, poor posture, headaches/whiplash, back/hip/sciatica, shoulder, rotator cuff, tennis/golfer's elbow, wrist/carpal tunnel, knee, ITB/runners knee, shin splints, Achilles/planter fasciitis), sports massage, kinesiology taping, electrotherapy (ultrasound, micro-current, interferential), dry cupping, and stretching/strengthening exercise prescription.
Pricing: Initial consultation & treatment (45–50 min) £60; pain/injury follow-up (45 min) £55; sports massage maintenance/recovery (45 min) £55; 30-min session £40; kinesiology assessment & taping (15 min) £20.
Qualifications: PGCE Secondary (Physical Education), BSc Hons Sports Coaching, Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation, Diploma in Integrative Health Coaching, Level 1 Medical Acupuncture, Myofascial Dry Cupping, and Neil Asher Trigger Point Therapy certification. Anthony is registered with the Sports Therapy Organisation (STO) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
